Cronic anal fissure

An anal fissure is a split in the skin of the distal anal canal. Young adults of both sexes are affected equally. Patients present with anal pain commonly during defaecation and/or rectal bleeding. Whilst acute fissures heal spontaneously or with simple therapeutic measures, a proportion progress to form a chronic linear ulcer. An anal fissure is a cut or tear in the lining of the anus that causes pain during and after a bowel movement. Anal fissures are sometimes confused with hemorrhoids, which may also cause pain. One of the biggest differences between them is that the pain continues after a bowel movement with an anal fissure. Most anal fissures heal with home treatment after a few days or weeks. These are called short-term (acute) anal fissures. If you have an anal fissure that hasn't healed after 8 to 12 weeks, it is considered a long-term (chronic) fissure. A chronic fissure may need medical treatment. Anal fissures are a common problem. An anal fissure, fissure in Ano or rectal fissure is a break or tear in the skin of the anal canal. Anal fissures may be noticed by bright red anal bleeding on toilet paper and undergarments, or sometimes in the toilet. If acute they may cause pain after defecation, but with chronic fissures, pain intensity is often less. CAUSES OF ANAL FISSURE. Fissures are usually caused by trauma to the inner lining of the anus from a bowel movement or other stretching of the anal canal. This can be due to a hard, dry bowel movement or loose, frequent bowel movements. Patients with a tight anal sphincter muscle are more likely to develop anal fissures.

An anal fissure is a common and often painful problem caused by a small tear or ulcer (open sore) in the lining of the anus (back passage). This can cause bleeding, local itching and pain with a bowel movement, which can be severe. Anal fissure (fissures) is a very painful condition caused by trauma to the anus and anal canal, which then cuts or tears the anus and anal canal tissue. These tears can be caused by straining to have a bowel movement, hard stools, and chronic episodes of diarrhea.
